tumblr has literally gotten to the point where you have to be part of multiple minority groups in order to have your opinion granted any sort of validity
or if you literally are the embodiment of every dominant group you have to exaggerate everything ‘bad’ about dominant group (the members that aren’t you, of course) while still actually benefiting from being dominant group and sacrificing nothing about being dominant group so that you gain a fanbase of shit-eating radikewl students and useful idiots who think you are changing teh world

i like the people who act like being working/middle class in the united states is some massive titanic struggle the most
i mean i acknowledge that i bitch about my life and feel really sorry for myself at times but i also try to keep in mind that i have it about 50000x better than the vast majority of people on the planet
my favourite ones are the ones who claim to hate capitalism but act as if being a college student makes them the most hard done by person on the face of the earth
especially when they voluntarily left their middle class comfortable home to go live in a dorm, voluntarily chose to sign up for a bantu-surfing studies degree or voluntarily spent their income on alcohol instead of food or textbooks
i didn’t even think these people existed in a politically-framed sense a few years ago, i thought all those stereotypes about students like rick from the young ones was just a joke, but now i realise they are very, very real
